Join Marian as she takes her first trip through the Marvel Cinematic Universe with her brother Myke and cousin Patrick – the biggest geeks in her life. From 'Iron Man' to 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' they will watch one movie at a time, one week at a time to see if they can get Marian on board the MCU hype train.
The God of Thunder is back, and for the first time – he’s actually bringing the literal thunder. Since this special installment in the franchise brings in a major player from the MCU – we decided to bring in our own special guest: Casey Causley! We get into the third Thor movie, what we loved, and what we kind of thought was okay, as well as who is the hottest character, what Hogwarts house everyone would get sorted into, and so much more! Listen to the episode below or through your favorite podcast player via iTunes by searching “Marvel-Less Marian”.
Find Casey on Twitter @bestcasenario and on her YouTube channel: ‘Is This Good Content’.
For our Homecoming episode, there was no better choice for a guest than our sister Missy – who happened to be home when Spider-Man came out (yes, we make this joke on the podcast – sue us). If you thought it was funny when Marian was baffled by seeing the MCU movies for the first time ever, you’re going to LOVE Missy’s take on everything. This was one of the funnest episodes to record, and one of the funnest Marvel movies to date! Spoilers beware!
Alright, enough of superheroes fighting each other. It’s time for a good ol’ epic fight to save the world – er, wait, galaxy. For the second time. In order to give this space epic it’s due, we did another crossover with Myke’s other podcast, “The Geekdom Fancast” and had Derek on to talk about the now TWO time galaxy savers! Is James Gunn a one hit wonder, or do we have a future Hall of Famer on our hands? Tune in, but be prepared to be spoiled!
Now back to our regular scheduled programming. We don’t have to tell you that Civil War has just been released upon the world – according to box office stats, you’ve found out. Maybe twice already. People have been ranting and raving about the film, but none of those people are Marvel (now full) Marian! We talk about the epic fued between our Avengers in a a completely SPOILER FILLED way.
Find out what teams each of the Marvel-less Marian hosts are on? (Spoiler alert, it’s the same one). Listen to the episode here, or subscribe to the show on your smart phone via your favorite podcast app by searching “Marvel-less Marian”.
P.S. this episode was mainly edited by Patrick! Like some of the heroes in this movie, he’s growing up!
To ring in the New Year (and so you don’t have to wait until Civil War to hear from us again) we’re bringing you a Marian-less Marvel-less Marian (say that five times fast). Since she only contractually agreed to watch all the Marvel movies (someone start a petition to make her watch the TV shows, too) Patrick and Myke decided to bring you their thoughts on all the Marvel TV shows that came out last year (except Agent Carter… which we both have to catch up on).
Once again you can listen to the episode here, or find us on your favorite podcast app through iTunes by searching ‘Marvel-less Marian’.
By this time you’ve probably already seen the trailer for Captain America: Civil War, but you haven’t heard Myke and Marian’s thoughts yet. We break down the trailer shot by shot and pontificate about what we’ll be seeing in Avengers 2.5. Is Marian excited? Is she lying? Find out in this quick recap.
Let us know what you think about the trailer! Hit us up in the comments, or tweet at us.. #CaptainFalcon.
Listen to the episode below, or on your favorite podcasting app (through iTunes) by searching Marvel-less Marian.
After a few months off we’re (finally) back. We went to the biggest screen we could find to watch Marvel’s SMALLEST hero (and other such Ant jokes). This movie had it all. Paul Rudd! Michael Pena! Ants! Did the movie live up to Marvel’s BIG expectations?! How many more size jokes can I make?!
Since we’re all caught up to movies just being released we’re going to have spoiler sections – it’s hard to talk about the movie without giving away mid act twists and fun parts. So if you haven’t seen it yet, just stop listening when you hear the alarm.
